All of our Component Facilitators are professional educators with multiple years of experience engaging and challenging youth to be, and do, their very best in all things!
Countless researchers and studies have shown over time that chess does indeed strengthen a child's mental clarity, fortitude, stability and overall health. Our Chess Component will challenge campers to become analytical and motivated problem solvers. It is our goal to utilize the game of chess to teach our campers about sportsmanship - how to win graciously and not give up when encountering defeat.
Theater can be a terrific medium for keeping children active and healthy. It can boost self-esteem, improve public speaking and provide a place to practice creativity. The Theater Arts Component of Bridge Builder Camp is performance based, therefore, students are mobile during most of the class interacting with each other through artistic activities and games.
Life's Work - Our educational component, is geared toward helping our students pinpoint what they want to do with their lives. When that career goal is set they will then work on that goal at least one hour everyday in a very unconventional way. This helps to teach our students what it takes to accomplish the goals they will set for their lives while keeping them entertained and engaged. It's an interactive approach to learning. We took a simple concept and infused fun, intensity and high energy to create "Our Life's Work".
